Southside Accessories & Protection is the dedicated vehicle protection and customization department at Southside Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram in Red Deer, Alberta. We bring specialized protection, appearance and accessory services together in one place for both new and existing vehicles.

PPF/Tint/Coatings/Vinyl/Windshield Protection/Polishing
With more than 20 years of experience in automotive polishing and coatings, and 10 years specializing in paint protection film and window tint, Dustin brings a detail-focused approach to every vehicle he works on. He has completed professional training with both XPEL and 3M and is XPEL certified in PPF and window tint. Over the years, he has worked with a wide range of industry materials and brands, including XPEL, 3M, SunTek, Verleno, Avery Dennison and VViViD, giving him the experience to understand how different products perform and where they work best.

Since joining Southside Dodge in 2019, Dustin has focused on PPF, window tint and vehicle protection while helping develop product offerings around quality, performance and customer satisfaction. His approach is simple: protection should do its job without drawing attention to itself. That means careful preparation, clean edges, tucked finishes wherever possible and an attention to detail that makes the finished installation feel like part of the vehicle.

Rather than recommending the same package to everyone, Dustin takes the time to understand where and how each vehicle is driven and what the customer actually wants to protect. A lifelong car enthusiast with an interest in automotive photography, he enjoys the transformation as much as the protection itself, whether it's preserving new paint, changing the appearance of a vehicle or simply seeing a clean, finished result leave the shop.
Detailing
With a combined 20 years of detailing experience, our detailing team knows what it takes to make a vehicle feel clean, refreshed and cared for again. Their experience covers everything from thorough interior and exterior cleaning to paint polishing and ceramic coatings, with careful attention given to the details that can make the biggest difference in the finished result.
Whether it's bringing a well-used daily driver back to life, preparing a vehicle for a fresh start or helping preserve the finish of something new, the goal is always the same: treat the entire vehicle, not just the obvious areas. Interiors are cleaned with care, exterior surfaces are properly prepared, and paint can be polished and protected to restore gloss and make ongoing maintenance easier.
Every vehicle arrives in a different condition, so the approach changes with it. Our detailing team works hard to give each vehicle the attention it needs, with the satisfaction of seeing something arrive tired, dirty or neglected and leave looking and feeling as close to new as possible.
Undercoating/polishing/Rust Proofing/Accessories
With 18 years at Southside Dodge, Steve has spent his entire time with the dealership installing vehicle accessories and protection products. Working behind the scenes, he handles everything from mud flaps, running boards, box covers and vent visors to remote starters, undercoating, rust protection, ceramic coatings and paint polishing.
Steve's approach is built around taking the time to do the job properly. Clean installation, proper fitment and attention to the small details matter, especially when adding something to a new vehicle. His goal isn't simply to install an accessory and make it work. He wants the finished product to look like it belongs there, with a fit and finish that can look even better than a factory installation.
After nearly two decades working on vehicles at Southside, that experience also means knowing how to approach different vehicles, products and installation challenges without cutting corners. Whether it's adding functionality, protection or finishing touches, the focus remains the same: do it right and make it look right.
Accessories Department
With 12 years at Southside Dodge, Julie is the driving force that keeps the Accessories & Protection department organized and moving forward. From managing appointments and preparing quotes to coordinating installations and keeping the daily workflow on track, she makes sure customers are looked after and the team has what they need to keep the work moving.
For accessories, Julie is often the first person a customer speaks with and the last person they see when it's time to pick up their vehicle. She takes the time to understand what they're looking for, explain the available options and help find the right solution for their vehicle. When a request is a little outside the ordinary, she's often the one figuring out how to make it happen.
Friendly, straightforward and a perfectionist when it comes to getting things right, Julie keeps an eye on the details from the initial conversation through to the finished job. She also works closely with the protection side of the department, coordinating with Dustin on PPF, tint, coatings and other protection services and making sure everything comes together at the end.
Behind every installation, appointment and finished vehicle are a surprising number of moving pieces. Julie is the person keeping those pieces connected, making sure the department runs smoothly and that every customer leaves knowing they've been taken care of.
